The Book of Acts Chapter 4 Verses 7 thru 12
7 They brought them into their presence and questioned them, “By what power or by what name have you done this?” 8 Then Peter, filled with the holy Spirit, answered them, “Leaders of the people and elders: 9 If we are being examined today about a good deed done to a cripple, namely, by what means he was saved, 10 then all of you and all the people of Israel should know that it was in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead; in his name this man stands before you healed. 11 He is ‘the stone rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.’ 12 There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved.”
Acts 4:7-12 presents a powerful moment in early Christian history when Peter and John stand before the Sanhedrin, the Jewish ruling council, after healing a lame man in the name of Jesus. The council presses them with questions, demanding to know by what power or name they performed this miracle. Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, boldly proclaims that it is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the very one whom they crucified, that the man was healed.
In this passage, we see a profound truth encapsulated in verse 12: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” This is a clarion call to the exclusivity of Christ as the sole pathway to salvation. In an age of pluralism, this declaration challenges believers to affirm that Jesus is not just one way among many; He is the only way to eternal life.
The significance of confession in this context cannot be overstated. Acknowledging Jesus as your Savior—believing in His redemptive work and openly proclaiming it—is essential for salvation. This passage stirs our hearts as it reminds us that faith in Christ transcends every barrier, beckoning us to share this good news in love and courage.
As we reflect on Acts 4:7-12, let us remember the imperative of evangelism in our faith journey. We are called to declare Jesus boldly, knowing that many are searching for hope and truth. May we encourage others to confess Christ as their Savior, reminding them that He alone is the door to heaven. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen. Day five Pope Francis

**The Stone Rejected by You**
In the hall where questions echo strong,
Peter stands, the Spirit's voice is clear,
With courage born of faith, he speaks for what we long,
Christ alone, our Savior, draws us near.
"By His name, this healing comes to light,
The stone you cast aside, now made the source,
No other name can lead the lost to grace,
In Him, we find our way, our only steady course."
The council stares, their hearts in disbelief,
Yet Peter shines with boldness from above,
Salvation’s gift is wrapped in love’s relief,
Through Christ alone, we stand, redeemed by love.
So let us share this message far and wide,
In every heart, His name shall be proclaimed,
For in Him lies the hope mankind can’t deny,
One path to heaven—Jesus Christ, His Holy Name. Amen.
