The Book of Acts Chapter 4 Verses 23 thru 31
23 After their release they went back to their own people and reported what the chief priests and elders had told them. 24 And when they heard it, they raised their voices to God with one accord and said, “Sovereign Lord, maker of heaven and earth and the sea and all that is in them,25you said by the holy Spirit through the mouth of our father David, your servant: ‘Why did the Gentiles rage and the peoples entertain folly? 26 The kings of the earth took their stand and the princes gathered together against the Lord and against his anointed.’ 27 Indeed they gathered in this city against your holy servant Jesus whom you anointed, Herod and Pontius Pilate, together with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, 28 to do what your hand and [your] will had long ago planned to take place. 29 And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and enable your servants to speak your word with all boldness, 30 as you stretch forth [your] hand to heal, and signs and wonders are done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” 31 As they prayed, the place where they were gathered shook, and they were all filled with the holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.
Acts 4:23-31 is a powerful reminder of the courage and boldness that can arise from prayer and community. After facing threats for preaching the Gospel, Peter and John returned to their fellow believers, sharing their experiences. The response was a unified prayer that not only acknowledged their trials but also sought God's strength to continue boldly proclaiming His word. This passage epitomizes the essence of being Spirit-led, God-inspired, and Christ-fed. When we immerse ourselves in the Word, pray unceasingly, and live with the intent to serve others, we too can find the boldness to speak the truth of the Gospel.
Daily Bible reading is essential in fostering a deeper connection with God. It allows us to internalize His teachings, guiding us through life's challenges and leading us towards a life of greater purpose. As we meditate on Scripture, we become more attuned to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, empowering us to share our faith with confidence.
Moreover, prayer is fundamental. In every action we undertake, whether big or small, lifting it to God in prayer cultivates a posture of dependence on Him. This practice not only strengthens our resolve to act according to His will but also equips us with the boldness necessary to face adversities.
Finally, proclaiming the Gospel is more than just words; it is a lifestyle of surrender. It involves serving the least, the lonely, and the languished in our communities. Just as the early church unified in prayer and purpose, we too can support one another as we step out in faith. Let us embrace this calling, knowing that when we practice, pray, and proclaim, we are empowered to live boldly for Christ. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Day eight Pope Francis. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20
04-28-25 Acts 4 v2331
**Speak the Word of God with Boldness**
In the stillness of the night, they returned,
Peter and John, with their hearts ever burned,
They shared the trials, the threats they’d withstood,
In fellowship gathered, their spirits renewed.
They raised their voices, a chorus of might,
Pleading for boldness, to shine in the night,
“Grant us your courage to speak as we ought,
To proclaim your good news, the hope we’ve been taught.”
The ground beneath shook as they prayed with one voice,
Filled with the Spirit, they made their choice,
To serve and to love, to challenge the dark,
With courage ignited, they ignited a spark.
In surrender they found the true essence of grace,
Serving the lonely, each least, every face,
Proclaiming His goodness in every small deed,
For in sharing His love, they planted the seed.
So let us press on with bold hearts like theirs,
To pray and to practice, to give and to share,
For in every whisper of God’s sacred call,
We find strength in surrender to rise and not fall. Amen.
